BRENHAM ISD SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM BEGINS MONDAY

Brenham ISD’s free summer meal program begins on Monday.

Any child in the community 18 and under can receive free meals between Mondays and Thursdays, from June 3rd to July 25th.  Grab-and-go meals can be picked up at Brenham High School between 7 – 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.

The school will be closed on June 19 and July 4-5.

Parents or guardians can pick up meals to bring home to their children, but they will need to show proof of guardianship at their first pick-up.  After that, they will receive a car placard to allow for quicker verification.

Brenham ISD students who come to pick up meals can provide either their school ID, enter their ID number on the available keypad, or give their information to a cashier.  Community children or those who are not yet enrolled in school will need to be identified, and a placard will be created for them for future meal pick-ups.

Brenham ISD is partnering with the Texas Department of Agriculture for the summer meal program.

To find a meal site, call 2-1-1, text ‘FOOD’ to 304-304, or go to https://squaremeals.org
