WEAPON-INVOLVED SITUATION IN BRENHAM LEADS TO TWO ARRESTS
Four people were arrested Sunday, including two after a weapon-involved situation.
Brenham Police report that early Sunday morning at 12:20, Officer Mark Morales conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation near the intersection of Barbee and East Alamo Street. The driver, Johnny Thibodeaux, 29 of Brenham, was placed in custody for an active warrant out of Washington County for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
Then early Sunday morning at 2:10, Officers were dispatched to a residence located in the 700 block of Campbell Street in reference to a weapon-involved situation. The caller reported a firearm was displayed toward a crowd of people, and the suspect drove away prior to officers’ arrival. The suspect vehicle was located and stopped in the area. Initial Investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Isaiah Treymahn Washington, 26 of Brenham, for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the Washington County Jail.
During the investigation, officers were approached by a female, Eclisha Smith, 34 of Brenham, who interrupted and impeded the investigation by entering the crime scene multiple times. Smith was placed under arrest for Interference with Public Duties and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Sunday afternoon at 12:15, Officer Matthew Brown initiated a traffic stop in the 1000 Block of Highway 105. Marijuana was located in the vehicle during a search. The driver, Deionta Stegent, 27 of Hockley, was placed under arrest for possession Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
