A crowd of family, friends, and fans gathered at Leroy Dreyer Field to welcome the National Champion Blinn Buccaneer Baseball Team last (Monday) night.

The team bus was delayed by about 15 minutes, but that did not stop them from receiving a big cheer when they finally pulled up.

The Bucs returned home with the championship trophy for the first time in school history.

The team also set NJCAA World Series records with 101 hits and 86 runs scored.

Players and coaches were grateful for the fans' support.

Blinn finished the season with a record of 47-17.

    1. With the Juneteenth parade coming up, add a Blinn Baseball team float(s). Get the word out in print and radio about the Blinn baseball honor floats and help bring our community together.

      1. Remember this is June. All students are on vacation including the baseball team.

        1. All that’s needed here is contact from their coach to see how many can attend. School was out weeks before the end of the tournament, but they attended.

        2. It could (possibly) be done. Remember, the championship tournament was after school was out. Of course, the team might’ve scattered to the four winds by now, but Worth checking into!
