FORMER SEALY TIGER QUALIFIES FOR U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS
A former Sealy Tiger has qualified for the U.S. Olympic Trials that are being held later this month in Eugene, Oregon.
Clayton Fritsch qualified for the trials by jumping 19 feet and one inch.
To qualify for the U.S. Olympic Team, Fritsch will need to finish in the top three at the trials, which begin on June 21.
At Sealy High School, Fritsch won district and regional championships, and finished third at state. He also set a school record with a jump of 16 feet and three inches.
Fritsch later went on to Sam Houston State University, where he was an NCAA Division 1 All American.
Fritsch also has competed for Team USA where he won a bronze at the 2019 Pan American Games, and a gold at the NACAC Under 23 Games.
