WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO ACT ON CONTRACT WITH JAIL MEDICAL SERVICES PROVIDER

Right off the heels of their meeting on Tuesday, Washington County Commissioners are set to meet once again tomorrow (Thursday).

The primary purpose of the called meeting will be to vote on a contract with MedHealth to serve as the new provider of medical services at the county jail.

The county has been in contract negotiations with MedHealth since commissioners agreed to enter into talks with the company at their May 21st meeting.

Commissioners moved at their meeting on May 28th to send a notice of non-renewal to the current jail medical provider, CorrHealth, who the county has contracted with since 2021.

Two other items will be considered.  They include action on professional liability insurance and a contract for jail medical records.

Commissioners will meet tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
