BRENHAM PARKS AND RECREATION HOSTING GROWN UP CUP, POP-UP PLAY DAY IN JULY
July is National Park and Recreation Month, and the City of Brenham has some events coming up to enjoy.
First up will be a brand-new event, as the inaugural Grown Up Cup will be held on Friday, July 12th from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Hohlt Park.
The event promises field games reimagined, like three-legged races, tug of war, sack races and beach ball relay. Prizes will go to the first and second place teams.
Registration is $60 per team of six people and can be done at https://cityofbrenham.org/parks. The event is geared toward participants age 21 and up.
After that will be the next Pop-Up Play Day, set for Saturday, July 13th from 10 a.m. to noon at Henderson Park.
Families will be able to take part in a free morning of activities, with lawn games, basketball, water safety demonstrations, arts and crafts, and storytime.
The free event is a partnership between the City of Brenham and the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
