FAYETTE COUNTY DEPUTY MAKES LATE NIGHT DRUG ARREST

A La Grange man was taken into custody after a late night traffic stop in Fayette County.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, Deputy Ty Roggenkamp stopped a Chevy Impala on Sunday night around 10:30pm for a traffic violation.

The traffic stop occurred on Highway 77 just north of Schulenburg.

During a further investigation, Deputy Roggenkamp found methamphetamine on  the driver’s person.

The measurement came out to just under two grams.

The driver, who was identified as 46-year-old Don Davis was arrested and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center in La Grange.

He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Greater Than One Gram, But Less Than Four Grams.

Sheriff Korenek thanked the Schulenburg Police Department for their assistance with the case.
