BRENHAM POLICE MAKE FIVE ARRESTS SATURDAY

A Rockdale man was arrested early Saturday on drug charges, one of five arrests on the day for the Brenham Police Department.

Brenham Police report that early Saturday morning at 12:20, Officer Nicolas Conforti checked on a suspicious vehicle in the 900 block of North Park Street.  Drugs and a suspected THC Vape Pen were found in the vehicle during a search.  Aaron Wayne Norman, 34 of Rockdale, was placed under arrest for Possession Controlled Substance and Possession Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then early Saturday morning at 2:05, Officer Mark Morales was dispatched to the 600 block of Matilda Street in reference to a weapon involved situation. Caller reported her husband was destroying her property and carrying around a knife. Upon arrival, officers placed Ramsey Lee Randall Jr., 32 of Brenham, showed to have an active warrant out of Houston for Felony Assault of a Family or Household Member. Randall was taken into custody and released to jail staff without incident.

Then Saturday evening at 6:15, Officers responded to the 200 block of U.S. Highway 290 East, in reference to a Disturbance. Investigation revealed Alex Tobey, 31 of Brenham, had an active warrant for Criminal Mischief between $750 and $2,500. Tobey was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in for his warrant.

Then Saturday evening at 6:20, Officer Nicolas Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of Stone Hollow Drive.  The driver of the vehicle, Darlene Patricia Graves, 44 of Brenham, refused to cooperate with the officers and was placed under arrest for Display of Expired Registration. She continued to refused all commands and resisted arrest. Narcotics were found in the vehicle during a search and Graves additionally charged with Resist Arrest, Search or Transport and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Then Saturday night at 11:50, Officer Nicolas Conforti conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 West. Investigation led to the arrest of the driver, Daniel Antonio Ortiz, 19 of Houston, for Possession Marijuana less than 2 oz. and Driving While License Invalid - Enhanced.
