ROTARY CLUB HONORS BURLESON COUNTY LAW ENFORCEMENT

Members of the Burleson County Law Enforcement Community were honored on Friday night as the Rotary Club of Caldwell hosted their annual Law Enforcement Banquet.

The banquet was held at the Caldwell Civic Center.

New Rotary Club District Governor Doug Smith was the guest speaker for the event.

Burleson County Sheriff Gene Hermes presented former Sheriff Dale Stroud with the “Guardian of Burleson County” Award.

Caldwell Police Officer Jerome Plair was named as the “Peace Officer of the Year.”

Burleson County Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Leschber received the “Service Above Self” Award, while his fellow Deputy Steven Guerrero was named as the “Rookie of the Year.”

Meanwhile, Jessica Pineda of the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office won the “Support Staff of the Year” Award.

In addition to the awards presentation, Somerville Police Chief Jake Sullivan, Caldwell Police Chief Charles Barnes, and DPS Sgt. Justin Stohler provided updates to those in attendance.
