UNITY THEATRE TO PRESENT ‘TREASURE ISLAND’ JULY 25-28
Unity Theatre in Brenham will set sail with its upcoming summertime children’s musical.
“Treasure Island”, the Prince Street Players’ version of the classic tale by Jim Eiler and Jeanne Bargy, adapted from the novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, will play for eight performances on the Main Stage from July 25-28.
The story joins Jim Hawkins, who is swept away into a perilous quest for hidden treasure and contends with pirates, high-seas mutiny and the dastardly Long John Silver.
The production stars the participants of the 4-6 grade Acting in Performance Jr. class in Unity’s Summer Drama Camp, along with performers from summers past.
Show times are 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 1 and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for guests age 18 and under.
