BURTON BRIDGE MINISTRY TO HOST ‘REMEMBERING THE LOUISIANA HAYRIDE’ SHOW AUG. 8

  

The Burton Bridge Ministry invites the public to an upcoming show paying homage to some of the greatest musical hits of yesteryear.

“Remembering the Louisiana Hayride” will be held on Thursday, August 8th at Burton American Legion Post #242. 

Louisiana Hayride was a Shreveport-based radio and television country music show broadcast that began in April 1948 and is known for helping launch the careers of legendary performers like Johnny Cash, George Jones and Elvis Presley.  “Remembering the Louisiana Hayride” will feature Allison Crowson, the House Tribute Band and special guests Robert Herridge and Paul Schlesinger in honoring some of the icons that gained fame from the show.

Doors open at 6 p.m., and a chicken and sausage gumbo dinner will be served at 7 p.m.  The performance begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $30, and proceeds benefit the Burton Bridge Ministry.
