ORDERS OPEN FOR WASHINGTON CO. FALL PLANT SALE

The Washington County Extension Horticulture Committee is now accepting orders for its annual Fall Plant Sale.

For the eighth year, the committee is offering a selection of cool season plants, including arugula, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, curly and flat leaf kale, green leaf and red leaf lettuce, romaine lettuce, mustard greens, spinach and swiss chard.  New this year, the committee is adding celery for sale in a 4-inch pot.

Plants are $2.50 per pack of four.  Proceeds from the sale benefit the youth of Washington County through scholarships offered by the Horticulture Committee, which awards nearly $5,000 annually to qualified graduating seniors pursuing a degree in agriculture.

Order forms are available online at https://washington.agrilife.org/plantsale or at the Washington County Extension Office at 1305 East Blue Bell Road in Brenham.

All orders must be paid for when they are placed, and no orders will be taken without payment.

The deadline to submit orders is Tuesday, September 17th.  Plants can be picked up at the Washington County Expo on Tuesday, October 8th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
