CUBS2READ LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS TO TUTOR STUDENTS

  

Cubs2Read is looking for volunteers to help tutor students at the Brenham ISD elementary campuses.

Cubs2Read is partnering with Brenham ISD in tutoring children this coming school year in reading and comprehension skills.

Tutoring sessions are scheduled to begin the week of September 9, and end in early December.

Anyone who can read and encourage a child to practice the skills in the lessons provided before each tutoring session is eligible to volunteer.

Brenham ISD requires annual background checks on all volunteers and this process can take several weeks, so they encourage everyone to call as soon as possible.

The tutoring sessions are on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Each day will be split into two sessions: 1:50-2:20pm, and 2:20pm-2:50pm.

All materials are provided by Brenham ISD, and volunteers will undergo training in early September.
