The first came shortly before 7 a.m., when the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department responded to a rollover crash with possible entrapment in the 4100 block of FM 50.  The Brenham Fire Department was initially requested for assistance, but Brenham units were cancelled once the crash was determined to not have entrapment.  The Prairie Hill department reported one person was transported by Washington County EMS.

The Brenham Fire Department reported two other crashes on the day, one coming at 7:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of Highway 290 West.  Units found a two-vehicle accident and proceeded to provide traffic control and remove debris from the roadway.  Once a wrecker arrived, firefighters returned to service.

Approaching 9 p.m., BFD members were called to a two-vehicle crash at Highway 36 South and Highway 290.  Upon making location, they found that both vehicles had been moved into a parking lot.  The department checked the vehicles to make sure nothing was leaking from them before clearing the scene.

In other calls on Friday, firefighters had a pair of alarm calls at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South, one at 1:45 p.m. and the other at 4 p.m.  In both instances, proper code for cancellation was received from the alarm company.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the department responded to a downed power line in the 800 block of Sycamore Street.  Units stood by until the City of Brenham Electric Department made location and released them from the scene.
