BRENHAM FINISHES FOURTH AT WALLER TOURNAMENT

The Brenham Cubettes wrapped the Waller Tournament on Saturday with a fourth-place overall finish.
In the first game of the day, Brenham beat Magnolia 2-1. The Cubettes won the first set 25-21, Magnolia won the second set 25-15, but then the Cubettes won the third set 25-23. Aubrey Morrison had 10 kills and 14 digs. Brinley Benson had 15 assists, while Jordan Graham added 14 assists. On defense, Logan Hayslip finished with 23 digs, while Zoe Zwerneman had 10 digs.
Brenham then lost to Waller 2-0, 25-23 and 25-18. Morrison led the offense with eight kills. Benson dished out 11 assists. Hayslip had 10 digs. Waller would go on to win the tournament championship.
In the Third Place Game, the Cubettes lost to Lake Creek 2-0, 25-17 and 25-12. Harper Huckert had three kills. Zwerneman finished with seven digs, and Benson dished out six assists.
Next up, Brenham will be heading to Bridgeland for a non-district game tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 5:30pm.
