BRENHAM FIRE DEPT. RESPONDS TO FOUR ALARMS OVER WEEKEND, ONE EARLY MONDAY

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls over the weekend and one early this (Monday) morning, all alarm calls.

At 1 p.m. Saturday, the department went out to Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street.  Units made location to find a pull station that set the alarm off.  They reset the pull station and alarm system before returning to service.

At 8:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, 700 Medical Parkway.  They arrived to find the fire alarm going off, but it was determined to be a bad detector, so they contacted maintenance personnel and reset the alarm.

Shortly before 11:15 a.m. Sunday, BFD members responded to Kruse Village, but found nothing showing from the exterior of the building.  They discovered that a resident was moving in, and that was what caused the alarm to go off.  The department reset the alarm, and units returned to the station.

A few minutes after noon, units were sent to the Brenham State Supported Living Center, 4001 Highway 36 South.  While they were enroute, dispatch advised that proper code was given for cancellation.

Just past 2:30 a.m. today, firefighters were called to a home in the 2000 block of Timberline Court, where they found batteries were bad in a smoke detector.  They replaced all batteries and cleared the scene.
