Just before 7 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to the area of Highway 290 East and Bueno Drive.  When they arrived, they found a Ford F-350 fully involved with a boat in tow.

Units deployed a front bumper line and extinguished a grass fire that had started to spread.  They then moved to extinguish the vehicle fire, which was quickly put out.

After ensuring nothing was smoldering, firefighters stayed on scene for an extended period of time for traffic control and scene safety, and until a wrecker was able to clear the vehicle from the roadway.  In addition, the department sprayed off the roadway due to diesel on the road.

The scene was cleared shortly before 8:30 p.m.  No injuries were reported.
