BRENHAM PARKS AND REC BOARD TO DISCUSS JACKSON STREET PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
The Brenham Parks and Recreation Advisory Board will hold its next meeting on Wednesday.
In the lone non-routine item to consider, board members will receive a work session presentation from Burditt Consultants LLC regarding improvements to Jackson Street Park.
The first phase of the project covers ADA standards, replacing old playground equipment, upgrading electrical and lighting, and a new restroom facility.
A total of $1.2 million is allocated for the project, coming from the Brenham Community Development Corporation and sales tax revenues. The city hopes to bid out the project in October and start construction late this year or early next year.
After discussion, the board will go into regular session to approve the minutes from the previous board meeting and hear staff updates.
The board will meet Wednesday at noon in the second-floor conference room at Brenham City Hall.
