RT-C DEFEATS MUMFORD IN FIVE SET THRILLER

The Round Top-Carmine Cubette Volleyball Team won a five set thriller over the Mumford Lady Mustangs on Tuesday night.

Round Top-Carmine won the first set 25-23. Mumford won the next two sets 25-22 and 25-17. However, RT-C came back to win the final two sets 25-21 and 15-12.

It was a big night for Madison Markwardt and Jill Eilers, who each recorded their fourth triple-double of the year. Markwardt had 19 kills, 19 digs, and 27 assists. Eilers finished with 15 kills, 28 digs, and 29 assists.

Meanwhile, Tess Eilers added ten kills and 25 digs. Jessica Rohde chipped in with 11 kills, and Bree Dooley finished with 20 digs.

Next up, the Cubettes will travel to Flatonia on Friday afternoon. The JV begins at 4:30pm followed by the Varsity afterwards.
