NATIONAL NIGHT OUT IN WASHINGTON CO. SET FOR OCT. 1

First responders across Washington County are getting ready to participate in another year of National Night Out.

The annual effort to bring neighbors and first responders together is set for Tuesday, October 1st from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is “Oktoberfest”, so everyone is invited to wear their lederhosen and bring out their favorite German foods.

Anyone interested in registering a block party must do so by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 27th to ensure they are on the attendance list.

For block parties inside Brenham city limits, contact Brenham Police Department Lieutenant Steven Eilert at 979-337-7326.

Block parties outside of city limits can be registered with Washington County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Mark Whidden at 979-353-7705.

All registered party information will be shared with the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County EMS.

KWHI and KTEX-106 also plan to be out and about for National Night Out, attending block parties around the area.  If you would like us to stop by, call our office at 979-836-3655.
