INDEPENDENCE CAR SHOW IN THE COUNTRY OCT. 5

Independence Community Events will hold its annual fall car show next weekend.

The “Car Show in the Country”, set for Saturday, October 5th at the historic Independence schoolhouse, will have all kinds of cars, trucks and motorcycles to check out, from new models to classics.  The event begins at 8 a.m., with an awards presentation at 11 a.m.

Jordan Kaminski of Independence Community Events, speaking during Tuesday’s Community Corner on KWHI, said the car show is open for all vehicles to enter.

Entry into the car show is $25 on-site, but general attendance is free.  The first 50 entries will receive a free t-shirt.

Breakfast items will be served, and door prizes will be given away.

Proceeds from the car show will support the continued renovation of the schoolhouse.
