THREE CALLS SUNDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Sunday.

Shortly after 8:15 a.m., the department was called out to the 13000 block of West Washington Street in Burton for a report of transportation incident with entrapment.  However, while units were enroute, dispatch advised that no one was entrapped, so they returned to service.

At 9:30 a.m., firefighters went out to the 6800 block of Highway 290 West for a transportation incident with entrapment.  They arrived on location to find no one entrapped.  BFD personnel helped EMS with patient care before returning to the station.

Approaching 2:30 p.m., members of the Brenham and Gay Hill Fire Departments responded to the 5100 block of Highway 36 North for a grass fire.  The Gay Hill department made location to discover about 5 acres on fire.  Brenham units then arrived and helped extinguish the fire.  They were released from the scene by the Gay Hill department.
