BOYS & GIRLS CLUB RAISES OVER $30,000 AT CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Boys & Girls Club of Washington County thanks the public for its support at last week’s 15th Annual Fore the Kids Charity Golf Tournament.
Boys & Girls Club Executive Director Shawn Koonce says the club raised just over $30,000 from Friday’s event at the Brenham Country Club, with 21 teams taking part.
From monetary contributions to taking time to volunteer, Koonce is continually impressed by the community’s dedication to its youth.
Proceeds will support the club’s after-school activities and programs, providing assistance with academics, fitness, mental health and character development.
Koonce says it is rewarding to see the impact the club makes on people as they grow into members of society, and wants to ensure that everyone witnesses that impact firsthand.
