WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS BURN BAN

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet in special session on Tuesday morning.

The Commissioners are going to discuss putting in a burn ban for Washington County. County Judge John Durrenberger told KWHI last week that the Fire Chiefs took a vote and recommended one be placed into effect while the dry conditions persist.

Washington is currently the only county in area that has yet to enact a burn ban.

Also at the meeting, the Commissioners will hear a presentation from Telehealth Services, as well as the quarterly report from the County Human Resources Department.

Action items include the purchase of two 2023 Tahoes from Caldwell Country for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and amending the award for the Engineering and Development Services Fleet Vehicle Purchases Bid.

The Washington County Commissioners meet on Tuesday at 9am in the Washington County Courthouse.
