WASHINGTON CO. PREPARING TO OBSERVE VETERANS DAY
Washington County veterans are making plans to host their annual Veterans Day programming.
Activities on Monday, November 11th begin with a Veterans Day breakfast provided by James F. Dillon VFW Post 7104. Breakfast will be served beginning at 7 a.m. at the Post, located at 1200 East Tom Green Street in Brenham, with doors opening at 6 a.m. All veterans and their guests are invited.
Later in the morning, the Washington County Veterans Association will host a program at American Legion Post 48, located at 903 North Park Street in Brenham. The program begins at 11 a.m. and will feature a keynote speech, along with recognition of local veterans. The speaker will be announced at a later time.
After the program, a barbecue beef and pork sausage meal will be served dine-in and drive-thru. Meal tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Dan’s Meat Market, Felder’s Buy & Bye, K&M Grocery, Quick Mart and Robert’s Service Station. Tickets are also available from local veterans.
