BELLVILLE CITY COUNCIL APPOINTS NEW MEMBER

The Bellville City Council moved to fill a vacant seat at its meeting earlier this month.

Councilmembers moved unanimously to appoint John Conley to the Alderman Position 3 seat formerly held by Ashley Slater, who resigned from the council in August.

Conley served as Bellville ISD’s superintendent from 1995 to 2010.  His career in education has also included time as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and education consultant.  He currently works as a field service agent for the Region 6 Education Service Center.

Conley’s term will run through May 2026.
