WINTER DANCE PARTY PRODUCTION COMING TO THE BARNHILL CENTER NOV. 16

The official and authentic re-creation of the final tour by Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper will be performed at The Barnhill Center in Brenham.

John Mueller’s “Winter Dance Party” will take place on Saturday, November 16th at 7 p.m.  It is the only show endorsed and honored by Buddy’s widow, Maria Elena Holly.  It is also the only show endorsed by the Holly, Valens and Richardson estates.

The live concert includes two hours of hit songs of the early rock ‘n roll greats, such as “That’ll Be The Day,” “Peggy Sue,” “Oh, Boy,” “Rave On,” “La Bamba,” and “Chantilly Lace”.

John Mueller, portraying Buddy Holly, is joined by Ray Anthony playing Ritchie Valens and Linwood Sasser filling the footsteps of the Big Bopper.  Mueller portrayed Holly in the touring version of the London/Broadway hit musical, “Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story.”  Anthony is a renowned star of the “Legends of Rock and Roll” show at the Imperial Palace in Las Vegas.

The authentic four-piece band, featuring guitar, drums, upright bass and sax, includes Grammy award winning Mike Acosta on saxophone.

The Winter Dance Party show performed for over 2 million people on the Jerry Lewis Telethon.  They have toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada at theatres, performing arts centers, ballrooms, corporate events, casinos, and for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
