CAPTAIN BAYSE TO SPEAK AT VETERANS DAY PROGRAM
Brenham High School Senior Marine Instructor Captain Jeffrey Bayse will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Veterans Day program hosted by the Washington County Veterans Association.
The program is going to be Monday, November 11, at 11am at American Legion Post 48 located at 903 North Park Street in Brenham. KWHI will have live coverage.
Captain Bayse has over twenty-two years of progressive managerial and analytical experience with diverse military organizations, including over ten years supervisory experience, two years of company level command, and over three years as a command briefer to flag-level officers.
He was selected for both Command and Staff College and a promotion to Major prior to a career ending parachute accident.
For the past nine years, Bayse has served as the Senior Marine Instructor at Brenham High School.
During his tenure, the program has achieved numerous accolades including selection to every national drill meet since their inception, growing the program to the highest level of participation in over 20 years, and earning two consecutive Honor School designations of the three earned in the 30-year history of the program.
Under Bayse’s leadership, Brenham High School has hosted nine drill meets with an annual participation rate of 20+ schools throughout Texas and Louisiana.
In addition to Bayse’s speech, there will be a recognition of local veterans, as well as a barbecue beef and pork sausage meal.
Tickets for the meal are $15 each and available at Dan’s Meat Market, Felder’s Buy and Bye, K&M Grocery, Quick Mart, and Robert’s Service Station.
