UNITY THEATRE TO PRESENT HOLIDAY COMEDY ‘FRUITCAKES’ DEC. 5-22
Unity Theatre’s next production will deliver holiday warmth and Christmas cheer.
“Fruitcakes”, a comedy by Julian Wiles, will play on Unity’s Main Stage December 5-22.
“Fruitcakes” follows a runaway kid named Jamie, who has come as far as his money will take him. At first, he thinks his new town’s inhabitants are “nuttier than fruitcakes,” but he soon comes to admire, appreciate and adore his crazy little town.
Along for the journey are a batch of fruitcakes, three dozen Christmas trees, 10,000 outdoor Christmas lights, a chicken pox epidemic, two southern spinsters, an estranged old man, a lost cat named Tutti Frutti and a Christmas hog named Buster.
Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays. The preview performance on Thursday, December 5th will include a talk-back with the cast and crew after the show.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday. To learn more, or to purchase tickets, go to https://unitybrenham.org.
