WARRANT ARRESTS PLACED ON TWO

  

Two Brenham men had warrant arrests placed on them in separate incidents Friday.

Brenham Police report that Friday, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Farewell Street regarding a complaint. The complainant advised dispatch a party to the incident, who was walking away from the incident, and provided a description. Sergeant Terrence Johnson located the described person, who was identified as Lawrence Burton Jr., 58 of Brenham. A wanted person check was requested, and dispatch confirmed Burton was wanted out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division. Burton was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Then Friday evening at 6:10, Sergeant Jose Perez responded to the 2200 block of South Market Street in reference to a disturbance. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that one of the parties involved had an active DWI warrant for his arrest. Michael Gonzalez, 29 of Brenham, was placed in custody and transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in for the active warrant.
