FOUR CALLS SATURDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out four times on Saturday.

Shortly before 11 a.m., firefighters responded to assist the Burton Volunteer Fire Department at a transportation incident with entrapment in the 12000 block of East Mulberry Street in Burton.  Units arrived to find a two-vehicle accident.  One patient was removed from one of the vehicles.  The extent of any injuries was not described.

Just past 1 p.m., the department went out to the Oak Creek Apartments, 1120 Green Street, for a report of a dumpster fire.  Firefighters made location to find the dumpster smoking and used tank water to extinguish the fire.

At 6:45 p.m., BFD personnel were dispatched to a call of a structure fire at a home in the 100 block of East Lubbock Street.  When they arrived, they found a storage building in the backyard on fire.  They used a water can to extinguish the small fire inside the storage building.

Around 11:15 p.m., Brenham units were called out to help the Meyersville Volunteer Fire Department for a report of an ATV rollover with entrapment at Rockin’ Star Ranch, 8002 Fuelburg Pease Lane.  Meyersville units arrived first and found no one entrapped, so they cancelled the Brenham department.
