BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH VEHICLE BURGLARY
A Brenham man faces several charges, including vehicle burglary, after his arrest late Friday night by Brenham police.
Just after 11:15 p.m., officers responded to a call for service in the 900 block of Lawndale Avenue in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle.
Initial investigation revealed that the subject had left the location, but he was later located at the intersection of East Stone Street and South Chappell Hill Street.
Police say the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Roberto Perez, attempted to break into a vehicle, but it was locked. Perez then traveled to Rhames Avenue, where he is alleged to have burglarized a vehicle and stolen numerous items, including a firearm.
Perez was placed into custody for Burglary of Vehicles, Criminal Attempt and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
