CUBS OPEN DISTRICT WITH A 61-38 WIN OVER MONTGOMERY

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team got district play off to a good start last (Tuesday) night with a 61-38 road win over the Montgomery Bears.

Isaac Powell just missed a triple-double. He finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Elijah Ferguson finished with 15 points and four rebounds.

JaKobe Mathis had nine points, five rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Quincy Adams added eight points.

With the win, the Cubs are now 12-6 on the season and 1-0 in district.

Next up, they will be hosting Huntsville on Friday at 6:30pm at the Brenham High School Gym. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com.
