CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY OFFICE CLOSURES FOR BRENHAM, WASHINGTON CO.

  

City of Brenham and Washington County offices will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday for the Christmas holiday.

Closures include Brenham City Hall, Brenham Municipal Court, Brenham Animal Services, the Blue Bell Aquatic Center, the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, and the Brenham & Washington County Visitor Center.  All Washington County offices will also be closed.

The Collection/Transfer and Recycling Station will close early on Tuesday, at 1 p.m., and will fully close on Wednesday.

For residential trash and recycling services, there will be no pick-up on Wednesday.  All routes will be pushed back one day from the holiday; Wednesday’s pick-up will occur on Thursday, Thursday’s will take place on Friday, and Friday’s will be on Saturday.

Residential customers are asked to avoid overfilling their carts during the holiday period.  BVR will only pick up trash that is placed inside the carts. 

Commercial dumpster routes on Wednesday will be worked into the routes on Tuesday or Thursday.

The offices of Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Bluebonnet members can access their account information and make payments while offices are closed by going to www.bluebonnet.coop, using the MyBluebonnet mobile app, or calling 800-842-7708.  Power outages can be reported through the website or mobile app, calling 800-949-4414 or texting OUT to 85700 through the Bluebonnet Outage Alerts program.

Today (Thursday) is the last day of the semester for Brenham ISD, while Burton ISD lets out early tomorrow (Friday).  Classes for both districts resume on Wednesday, January 8^th.
