BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS FRIDAY FOR INVALID DRIVER’S LICENSE, NARCOTICS POSSESSION
Brenham police made two arrests on Friday.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of South Day Street. Investigation revealed the driver, 48-year-old Franco Rivera of Brenham, was driving during a period of suspension. Rivera was placed into custody for Driving While License Invalid – Enhanced and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
Around 9:30 p.m., Sergeant Jose Perez stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Thiel Street. Police say the driver, 39-year-old Christopher Cruce of Brenham, was in possession of narcotics. Cruce was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 grams, as well as Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence.
