THREE BRENHAM MEN ARRESTED BETWEEN SUNDAY, EARLY MONDAY
Three Brenham men were taken into custody by local police in separate incidents between Sunday and early this (Monday) morning.
Just past midnight on Sunday, Brenham Police Officer Ramon Torres stopped a vehicle in the 1200 block of Garret Street. After investigation, it was found that the driver, 33-year-old Crispin Wade Contee, was in possession of narcotics. Contee was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz.
Approaching 8:30 a.m., Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 200 block of Taft Street for a report of a physical disturbance. Police say their investigation indicated that 23-year-old Markell De Mond Lee allegedly assaulted a family member, causing them bodily injury. Police also say Lee showed to have an active warrant for Terroristic Threat and was in possession of marijuana. Lee was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was charged with Continuous Violence Against the Family, his active warrant and Possession of Marijuana.
Shortly before 3:30 a.m. today, Officer Brayten Rolling responded to the 200 block of South Blue Bell Road in reference to a complainant. The officer reported observing 73-year-old Robert Earl Hicks on the premises, after having been issued a Criminal Trespass warning for the location at a prior date. Hicks was transported to the Washington County Jail without incident and booked in for Criminal Trespass.
