LIFETIME LEARNING BRENHAM TO HOST PRESENTATION ON LIVING HEALTHY THROUGH NATURE
Lifetime Learning Brenham’s next program will focus on healthy living.
Dr. Jay Maddock from the Texas A&M University School of Public Health will speak on Friday, January 24th at 11:30 a.m. at the Cannery Kitchen in Brenham.
Dr. Maddock will share his research on how to live a healthy life through plants and nature. He will discuss immune function, blood pressure, cortisol levels and motor skills, and how they are all shown to improve with time spent outdoors.
Dr. Maddock is internationally recognized for his research and has been featured on The Today Show, CNN, BBC, Scientific American, Prevention, and Good Housekeeping. He has authored over 160 scientific articles and is the recipient of numerous awards, including from the American Public Health Association, the Surgeon General, and the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Entry to the program is $25 per person and is due by Friday, January 17th.
