FULL REGION NOW OUT OF BURN BAN AFTER FAYETTE, COLORADO COUNTIES DROP BANS
Counties around the area are ending their burn bans after several inches of rainfall in recent days helped alleviate dry conditions.
Fayette County lifted its burn ban on Thursday, and Colorado County rescinded its ban on Friday.
The two counties were the last in the area with active burn bans, as all others in the region no longer have a ban in place.
Grimes County was the first to end its burn ban, effective on November 6th.
Washington County was next, ending the ban on November 21st. Austin County followed on November 25th.
Once in December, Brazos County rescinded its burn ban on December 5th. Lee and Waller counties lifted their bans on December 9th, and Burleson County brought its ban to a close on December 11th.
