The Brenham Cub Soccer Team opened their season by splitting a pair of matches at the Madisonville Tournament earlier today (Thursday).
In the first game of the day, the Cubs lost to the host team, the Madisonville Mustangs, 2-1. Isaac Garcia scored the lone goal for Brenham in the match.
Then in the second game, the Cubs bounced back with a 2-1 victory over former district foe, the Magnolia Bulldogs. Garcia scored both goals for Brenham in that match as well.
