GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The Brenham Cubettes are getting ready to host Lake Creek this (Friday) evening at the Brenham High School Gym. Both teams are 0-5 in district so that means somebody is going to get their first win. It is also Youth Night at the gym. Local youth wearing their teams’ basketball jerseys will be recognized on the court prior to the game. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm. KWHI will be there to broadcast live beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm.
In other District 17-5A girls’ games: A&M Consolidated is at Huntsville, Rudder visits Montgomery, and College Station has a bye.
BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The Brenham Cubs look to remain unbeaten in District 17-5A as they travel to Lake Creek. Brenham currently leads the district with a 4-0 record, while Lake Creek is tied for second with a 2-1 record. The game is scheduled for a 6:30pm start time.
In other District 17-5A boys’ games: Huntsville is at A&M Consolidated, Montgomery visits Rudder, and College Station has a bye.
Burton and Somerville are scheduled for a District 26-2A doubleheader this (Friday) evening. Due to the weather, it will now be varsity only. The girls will play at 5pm, followed by the boys afterward.
In Other District 26-2A doubleheaders: Snook is at Mumford and Hearne is at Bremond. Iola has bye tonight, but has elected to stay busy by visiting Fayetteville.

Single games tonight include: The Richards Panthers are at Calvert, the Waller Bulldogs host Cy Park, and the Waller Lady Bulldogs are at Cy Park. The Bryan Vikings and Lady Vikings have byes tonight (Friday).
