COLLEGE STATION HOLDS OFF CUBETTES FOR A 54-48 WIN

The College Station Lady Cougars handed the Brenham Cubettes their seventh district loss of the season 54-48 on Tuesday at the Brenham High School Gym.

College Station jumped out to an early 17-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Cougars also outscored the Cubettes 14-12 in the second quarter to take a 31-21 lead into the locker room at halftime.

However, Brenham would rally and actually outscored College Station 27-23 in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the early deficit.

Antyiahna Lang led the Cubettes with 15 points, while Janiyah Mathis added 11 points.

Brenham falls to 18-21 on the season, and 0-7 in district. They are off on Friday for the bye. They are next scheduled to travel to Montgomery on Tuesday.
