BLINN BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING PUSHED BACK TO WEDNESDAY

Due to the expected winter weather conditions, the Blinn College Board of Trustees has pushed their monthly meeting back a day.

The Board, which normally meets on Tuesday, will now be meeting on Wednesday at 12:30pm at the Brenham Campus Administration Building.

Items on the agenda include ordering an election on May 3 for Board of Trustee members representing At-Large Positions 1, 2, and 3 to serve full six-year terms. Those positions are currently held by Richard O’Malley, Jim Kolkhorst, and Dennis Crowson.

Other items include an Election Services Contract with Washington County,  an agreement with the local government entities to hold joint elections on May 3, and setting a date for a drawing to determine the order of the candidate names to appear on the ballot.

The board is also scheduled to discuss and approve policy priorities for the 89th Session of the Texas Legislature.

The remaining items involve the Bryan campus. Board members will be deciding on authorizing the administration to negotiate and execute a contract for roofing contractor services related to roof replacement at Buildings F and H, and general contractor services for paving repairs at the Blinn Boulevard entrance.

They are also going to vote on naming rights for a portion of the Bryan Campus Administration Building.
