The Blinn College men's basketball team went hunting for a Region XIV victory Saturday and found one in Bossier City, La.

The Buccaneers rallied out of a first-half deficit and overcame Bossier Parish Community College 69-64.

Blinn improved to 8-9 overall and 4-5 in region play.

The Bucs ended a two-game slide in region play.

"I was happy to see our guys get a win tonight after playing two really good basketball games and coming up short," Blinn head coach Scott Schumacher said. "Bossier is a great team and we came out here and played hard and got a big win."

The Cavaliers built a nine-point lead over Blinn in the first half, but the Bucs stormed back to grab a 33-30 edge by halftime.
After the intermission, Blinn built a double-digit cushion and held on late.

Sophomore guard Reese Miller had a big game for the Bucs, scoring 22 points to go with six assists. Sophomore forward Anthony Isaac followed with a big game of his own, scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double. Sophomore forward London Maiden added 12 points, and sophomore guard Jaden Andrew chipped in six points and eight assists.
