FOUR WEEKEND CALLS FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls over the weekend.

Two of those calls were for motor vehicle accidents on Saturday, one around 6:15 p.m. on Heritage Drive and the other near 11:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Highway 290 East.  Firefighters blocked the roadway and secured the scene until the accidents were cleared.  No injuries were reported.

Both of Sunday’s calls were for fire alarms at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street.  The first response was shortly before 11 a.m., and the second was at 12:15 p.m.  Both were due to a malfunctioning detector, and maintenance was called to fix the problem.
