TWO LATE MORNING CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department went out to two calls late Tuesday morning.
At 10 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 2400 block of Ryan Street for a gas odor. They arrived on scene along with the City of Brenham Gas Department to check the area for a leak or smell. After investigation, the gas department released the fire department from the scene.
Around 11:45 a.m., units responded to a fire alarm at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street. They made location to find a bad smoke detector in a room, which caused the alarm to go off. BFD members reset the alarm and returned to service.
