ONE ARREST WEDNESDAY FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION, ANOTHER EARLY THURSDAY FOR DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
Brenham police arrested a local man Wednesday evening on charges including marijuana possession and an out-of-state resident early this (Thursday) morning for offenses including driving while intoxicated.
Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Officer Garrett Downs conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Hillcrest Street. Police say their investigation revealed that the driver, 25-year-old Camron Turner of Brenham, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Turner was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Approaching 12:30 a.m. today, Officer Downs was dispatched to a welfare concern in the 2800 block of Highway 36 South. According to police, the subject, identified as 36-year-old Kasey Mayberry of Montana, was operating a vehicle while intoxicated and was also in possession of a controlled substance and marijuana. Mayberry was placed into custody and booked into the Washington County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container, Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, Less Than a Gram.
