RESCHEDULED BASKETBALL AND SOCCER GAMES ANNOUNCED
BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The Brenham Cubs will be back in action later tonight (Thursday) as they take on the Montgomery Bears. This game was supposed be played on Tuesday, but got pushed back due to the weather. This is also the start of the second half of district play. The Cubs are 20-7 on the season, and lead the district with a 6-0 record. Montgomery is 17-10 overall, and currently tied with Lake Creek for third place with a 3-3 district record. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm at the Brenham High School Gym. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm.
Elsewhere in District 17-5A: Huntsville is at College Station, A&M Consolidated visits Lake Creek, and Bryan Rudder has a bye.
GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL
The Brenham Cubettes will be on the road tonight (Thursday) to face Montgomery. That one is scheduled to begin at 6pm.
Elsewhere in District 17-5A: College Station is at Huntsville, Lake Creek travels to A&M Consolidated and Bryan Rudder has the bye.
BASKETBALL DOUBLEHEADER
Hearne and Burton will make up their games against each other as well tonight (Thursday). It will a doubleheader at the Burton High School Gym with the Girls game at 5pm, and the Boys game to follow afterward.
JUNIOR COLLEGE BASKETBALL
The Blinn Buccaneer Women are in action this (Thursday) afternoon. They will play Paris College at the Kruse Center beginning at 3pm.
HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER
The Brenham Cubs will open district play against College Station. The match is scheduled for 4pm this (Thursday) afternoon at Cub Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Brenham Cubettes are also opening district. They will be at College Station beginning this (Thursday) evening at 5pm.
