CUBS STAY UNBEATEN IN DISTRICT WITH 69-54 WIN OVER MONTGOMERY
The Brenham Cub Basketball Team remained unbeaten in district with a 69-54 victory over the Montgomery Bears last (Thursday) night at the Brenham High School Gym.
The Cubs outscored the Bears in all four quarters of the game. Brenham won the first quarter 16-14, the second quarter 19-10, the third quarter 14-11, and the fourth quarter 20-19.
Despite being shutout in the first quarter, Elijah Ferguson led the Cubs with 21 points. Issac Powell was right behind him with 20 points.
Brenham also got nine points from JaKobe Mathis and eight points from Jayden Hebert.
With the win, the Cubs are now 21-7 overall and 7-0 in district.
Brenham is back in action tonight (Friday) as they travel to Huntsville for another district game. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 7pm.
