SEVERAL INCUMBENTS FILE FOR BURTON COUNCIL, BLINN BOARD ELECTIONS

Four returning candidates, two each for the Burton City Council and Blinn Board of Trustees, have announced plans to run for re-election this May.

Burton Mayor Karen Buck and Position 1 Councilmember Nathan Kalkhake have filed applications for a place on the ballot.

Buck was first elected as mayor in 2023, while Kalkhake has served on the council since 2015.

On the Blinn Board of Trustees, Richard O’Malley and Dennis Crowson have filed to run for their current seats for At-Large Position 1 and At-Large Position 3, respectively.

O’Malley was appointed in the fall to serve out the remainder of Charles Moser’s term, following Moser’s retirement from the board.  Crowson began his service on the board in 2019.

The deadline to file for the May 3rd election is Friday, February 14th
