TWO CALLS MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Monday.

Just before 3:30 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to a crash at North Park Street and Lounge Road.  They made location to find a two-vehicle crash, with one vehicle still in the roadway.  Units assisted with traffic control and mitigated fluids from one of the vehicles.  Once the vehicles were cleared from the roadway, the department cleared the call.  There were no injuries to report.

Approaching 11:30 p.m., BFD members were called out to the Bluffview Villas Apartments, 2699 Schulte Boulevard, for an agency assist with a welfare concern.  Firefighters arrived to find the Brenham Police Department needed to gain access to a resident.  The fire department removed the door handle and deadbolt to gain access to the resident.  The police department then released the fire department from the scene.
